Joe Lee Burchfield
March 17, 1940 - April 12, 2012

Joe Burchfield, 72, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012, at his home in Miramar Beach, FL. There will be a Memorial Service held on, Saturday, April 28th at 2:00pm at Peachtree Corners Christian Church, 6060 Spalding Drive, Norcross, GA 30092. The family will be receiving visitors at the church from 12:30 to 1:45.
Joe was born on March 17, 1940 in Bessemer, AL. He moved his family to Norcross, GA in the 1960's, and Atlanta became home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Lucille Burchfield, and his brother, Jack Burchfield.
Joe was a respected businessman and advocate for the trampoline and textile industries. He loved to play golf and tennis and was an avid reader. He passed his strong work ethic and enthusiasm for sports and reading to his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his sons, Joe Burchfield, Jr., Jimmy Burchfield and Chad Burchfield; his daughter, Suzanne Carr; his grandchildren, Avery Burchfield, Carter Burchfield and Joey Burchfield; and his partner and friend, Patricia "Pat" Dubray.
